The story line is really strong with not a wasted word anywhere. With lyrics, more than anything else, I appreciate the word economy. The writing is really top shelf! I love the freewheeling fiddle intro to this song. It really sets the fiery tone and the stage for what's to come as the roller coaster hits the crest of the first hill and then it's "Katy, bar the door!!"
The vocal weaves in and out creating an incredibly hooky melody. Lots of different hooks in this song (which I find very appealing!). The timber of your voice is very unique. You honestly do not sound like anyone else out there and that is SUCH a plus!!
The track is tight and the musicians are absolutely top notch. They and the vocalist deliver with a reckless abandon, no holds barred, screaming and rocking track! The song makes it hard for the listener to remain seated during the song! In fact, call me crazy but I want to invite the neighbors over for a mid afternoon party featuring this song right here.
Sonically, this is a beautiful melange of harmony and sounds. The fiddle, guitar, banjo and steel players are sensational. The lead vocal is right on, filled with emotion without sacrificing technique. This is really impressive stuff and I appreciate you allowing me to listen and respond.
Bottom line is I love everything about this song!

NASHVILLE MUSIC EXECUTIVE CHRIS KEATON REVIEWS “FREE KIND OF ME”
From the opening lines of the plaintive and moaning steel guitar I was hooked. Sonically, the stage was set for a wonderfully beautiful journey in song. The performances of the instrumentalist are top notch and right on the money. Your voice sits right on top and delivered the lyric without distraction form the players. As the song moves along and instruments are added the vocal is still right out there in just the right spot. Great mix!!!
The lyric and message are wonderful and wonderfully delivered. The listener is invited in to this most personal spot and allowed to share a marvelous realization of being oneself and free not deterred or held back anymore.
What a fabulous steel guitar solo. Just enough but not too much.
When the bridge arrives and the additional voices are added, WOW! The message really strikes the heart. And then a full gospel choir arrives. This is so impressive. Make this listener want to stand and rock side to side and clap my hands for the grace of being allowed to join in, experience and share your joy!
